Less than ten days. Both miss the new appointment which will see Sorrento, once again, to marry art with a capital. After hosting major events that have showcased the works of Dali and Picasso, the Land of the Sirens is now preparing to welcome the genuine installation of the master Arnaldo Pomodoro.
Off on 28 March, when some of the masterpieces of monumental sculptor Romagnolo embellish the main squares of the city: from Piazza Tasso to Square Angelina Lauro crossing Piazza Sant’Antonino, Piazza Andrea Veniero and square Sailors Italy, for a tasty preview the exhibition which will open at Villa Fiorentino June 19.
Repeats, therefore, the successful experiment done with the works of Dali: the facilities were a real attractor, a vehicle photo extraordinary that, thanks to social, spun million clicks worldwide.
The preview of Pomodoro, however, goes to another great cultural event planned by the Fondazione Sorrento for Easter: March 28, in fact, has scheduled the exhibition “900 Italian Painting”. An appointment artistic prestige to offer, to begin with, to the many guests who will arrive in the Sorrento Peninsula for Holy Week. For the occasion, in the halls of Villa Fiorentino, until June 7, you can admire about 72 works by the most important masters of the Italian 900 from De Chirico to Balla, Sassu Ligabue, through Rosai, Morandi, Sironi and Schifano.
