On 15 February 1898, was born in Naples one of the greatest performers of comedy Neapolitan Antonio de Curtis, alias “Totò”. On the occasion of the famous event, Saturday, February 15 , the association Artedra, in collaboration with “Catacombe di Napoli” will pay homage to the “Principe della risata” with guided tours (which will be enforced Saturday, February 22) in the neighborhood where he was birth: the Rione Sanità, true heart of folklore “Made in Naples”.
A true treasure chest dripping with art, able to surprise the visitor with the splendor of the most unique and rare works of art. Masterpieces include the spectacular staircases of the eighteenth-century palaces of Sanfelice, the jewel “baroque” of the Basilica of Santa Maria della Sanità, up to reach its belly in the ward: the Catacombs of San Gaudioso.
The narration of anecdotes and curiosities of life of Totò, but also the poems of Prince Antonio de Curtis animate the walk in one of the oldest and most charming Partenope.
