Partenope more cultural crossroads of the Mediterranean. He opened the sixteenth edition of “Napoli Film Festival“, film festival directed by Davide Azzolini and Mario Violini, destined to animate until October 8, with screenings and meetings, plus location of the city of Naples: from the halls of Old Town, passing through the historic Cinema Vittoria (via Piscicelli, Vomero) up to the rooms of the Museum PAN and the Institute of Grenoble (via Crispi). Five, in total, the feature films presented under the sign “Europe & Mediterranean“, an authentic open window on the cinema coming from Eastern Europe, all the films will be screened at 5 h. pm, at the Institut francais of Naples. More complex, however, the section “Screen Napoli“, divided into several categories ranging rewarding documentaries, short films, works designed exclusively for the web and productions involving school children. Among the hot titles include “Terrapromessa” which tackles the difficult subject of organized crime in the hinterland of Naples; but above all “Enzo Tortora, a wound Italian” film truth about one of the most blatant miscarriages of justice ever committed in Italy.

Rich and nicely varied the parterre of guests to meetings every night, offering current topics related to the world of cinema and the future of celluloid. Among the protagonists Giorgio Pasotti and Giuliana De Sio, but also the young French filmmakers Justine Triet (awarded at Berlin in 2012) and Arthur Harari. There will be many special events included in the festival of the carnet two most difficult ones. He makes, in fact, half a century “The Gospel According to St. Matthew” by Pier Paolo Pasolini, proposed in Naples with the all-new soundtrack live pianist Stefano Battaglia; essential then, a tribute to the great Massimo Troisi with the screening of his extraordinary “We just have to cry” with meetings and discussions between the audience and the artists and workers involved in the production.
