Will be inaugurated tomorrow in Piazza Trieste e Trento, in Naples, the “fountain of the artichoke“, the first of the 27 monuments for which there is restoration at no cost to the municipality, thanks to private funding of some sponsors provided in ‘ scope of the project “Monumentando”. The ceremony was attended by, among others, the mayor, Luigi de Magistris, and Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe. “Coming to an end the first of 27 restorations – said Councillor Carmine Piscopo, promoter of” Monumentando“, that tomorrow will be present at the ceremony – and we are already working on ‘Broken Column‘ in Piazza Vittoria. To carry out the work, the City Council will enable the Uno Outdoor, which won the race, and for 12 years that will ensure the maintenance of the monuments, the installation of advertising space, to be installed at the cost and care of the sponsor”. The fountain of “artichoke”, which owes its name to the particular shape of the flowers from which the water flows, is present in Piazza Trieste e Trento 50s. In the last few years had been damaged by weather and pollution.
