It’s definitely a little known Enrico Caruso what will be presented Thursday, February 26, starting at 17, in the Chapter of the monumental complex of San Domenico Maggiore in Naples, and heard all that follows, will provide a new and unpredictable.

For the occasion, it will be presented the reissue of rare performances of the original content of Naples, with a lot of listening to some songs directly from a vintage gramophone. Of the two CDs that will be proposed, one contains “The songs of Enrico Caruso”, thirteen recordings made between 1909 and 1920, the other, “The religious song by Enrico Caruso”, reveals a strangely neglected aspect of the art of great interpreter: the engravings of religious songs. Usually, in fact, you think of him for unmatched interpretations of opera arias and Neapolitan songs but, carefully sliding his rich discography, you can find a wealth truly unique: sixteen compositions of a religious carved between 1912 and 1920. To provide food critics and historians, Luciano Pituello Museum Association Enrico Caruso / Carusiani Centro Studi di Milano, one of the greatest connoisseurs of the legendary tenor.
