It will be “Nature“, one of the slogans of the next weekend made in Naples. Maybe, living with family or friends in the lush Botanical Garden of the University of Naples “Federico II” (Via Foria 223), where 21 to 23 November, will form the fourth edition of the “Festival of the Tree” . A full immersion in the countryside, with free admission, which, aside from the conference on Friday (10 am), entitled “The Urban Ecosystem: the natural, climatic aspects and the ecological characteristics“, a series of themed activities aimed at children and adults.

From the treasure hunt given to students in guided tours through the tropical greenhouse parades in period costumes, live music and “Colors of Autumn” lovely market of plants, fruits and natural products. Among the gems of the event, the laboratory of gardening for adults and children, on the one meal of the trees “Do you know, experience and enjoy” and Malacological, which allow you to discover the name, ownership, and value of various specimens of shells. Saturday and Sunday will be possible also to “From the tree to the basket,” demonstration of twisted fibers of chestnut and olive trees by Luigi Savarese, the exhibition of naturalistic drawing by Manco and Rosaria (Sunday only), a concert (12 hours) Voice Duo with Gaetano Perrone (flute) and Adriana Cioffi (harp).
The purpose of the event is to raise awareness about the real state of the Neapolitan heritage green space in order to engage in actions that protect the local plant component, for a better quality of life. Trees in urban areas, in addition to producing oxygen and reducing noise levels, regulate the microclimate, create shade, promote ventilation in summer and protect from winds in winter. The ”eco city”, therefore, if well managed, could be, like natural ones, an important element in support of environmental sustainability.
