As travelers of 700, between history and emotions : it is called “Journey to Campania. Return of the Grand Tour “, nine itineraries from April to December 2014 , the program premiered at the World Travel Market in London by the Department of Cultural Heritage and Tourism of the Region Campania.
“In collaboration with Campania> Artecard, we are creating the most important operation in recent years to promote our cultural heritage – said the Head of the Cultural Heritage and Tourism Pasquale Sommese – in time for international promotion . We wish that 2014 will be the year of Campania, a ransom that our area deserves in these days when it comes to his wounds environment”.
The tours , which are available with integrated or dedicated public transport by sea and by land , are: “The dream of Naples”, “Campi Flegrei: myth , history and nature”, “Walking Vesuviane”, “A journey through the scents and colors of the Peninsula Sorrento”, “Capri and Ischia, the islands of the Grand Tour”, “Along the Golden Mile”, “the paths of the Appian Way”, “The Amalfi Coast and the streets of the Cilento”, “the glories of the Bourbons and the Regge” to which is added from June to September, the new edition of night “Herculaneum, Buried Stories”, which will be enriched by the performance of Mount Vesuvius.
“With Campania> Artecard, in cooperation with local authorities and the most significant of the various areas concerned – explains Sommese – we will create a network of connections between the coast and inland areas of the region, in order to enhance sites and museums also valuable , does not normally affected by the large number of tourists . It will be also an opportunity to promote our culinary excellence and our landscapes”. The project is implemented by the Scabec, Society regional cultural heritage.
