Yes, because let’s not forget that the monumental complex of the Vomero, represents a vital crossroads for the artistic production of Naples .
But let’s step back to the origins of the plexus hillside theater of the “triple ” cinema projection .
Born as court palace in the fourteenth century by Roberto d’Angiò , the plant was later transformed into a fort at the behest of the viceroy Don Pedro de Toledo, to pass into the hands of the State Property that turned it into a military prison . And this function was carried out until 1976, when Castel Sant ‘Elmo ( which owes its name to the shape of the typical headgear of soldiers ) became an exclusive center of cultural diffusion by hosting exhibitions, fairs and festival of international scope.
A healthy tradition that sice the 80’s continues with increasing success to date.
