The lifetime award of the “Ischia Film Festival” will be awarded to French actor Jean Sorel. The kermesse will take place from June 29 to July 6, at the natural set ofIschia. Directed by directors such as Luis Bunuel, Sidney Lumet, Luchino Visconti and Carlo Lizzani, the actor enters in the Hall of Fame of the winners of the festival which include the Oscar winners: Sir Ken Adam, Vittorio Storaro, Ron Howard, Abel Ferrara, Pavel Lungin, Krzysztof Zanussi, Giuliano Montaldo and Pupi Avati. Sorelwill receive the award during the final evening of the event, this year dedicated to “film tourism”, in the setting of the Cathedral ruins of the Castello Aragonese in Ischia. The announcement was made by the creator and director of the festival this year, now in its the eleventh edition, Michelangelo Messina. The “Ischia Film Festival” will take place between the Castle of Ischia and the sixteenth-century Tower of Michelangelo, with a rich program of exhibitions, talks and screenings. The event, organized with the support of the President of the Republic, the Campania Region and is supported by the Ministry for Cultural Heritage (DGC), under the patronage of the Municipality of Ischia.
