The next event in the astronomical complex of Capodimonte. In addition to the scientific work of the Observatory that make Naples one of the world’s most prestigious international institutions, develop, in fact, a number of initiatives for the promotion and enjoyment of the important cultural heritage that preserves the historic building. From this point on November 13th at 19:30 in the Auditorium hill will be presented to the director Lamberto Lambertini, author, theater, radio, television, painter and graphic artist, the award Joachim Murat established in 2012 by the same right in memory of its founder.

Few, in fact, know that the famous Neapolitan born astronomy facility by the marshal of the Napoleonic empire and then King of Naples, in 1812. The Observatory of Capodimonte is the first building of its kind in Italy to be designed only for scrutinizing and study the sky. Even now, the complex is the only facility for astronomical research south of Rome.

Also on 13 November, in the same occasion will be presented the project “Mountain infinite: Traveling with Dante” born to the Dante Alighieri Society brainchild of Lambertini and Peluffo. But not only. Highlight of the evening will be, in fact, the show’s musical composer and pianist Eugene Fels, professor of piano at the Conservatory “San Pietro a Majella” in Naples. At the end of the event, all guests will be allowed to observe the sky and planets using telescopes located on the square monumental Observatory.
