Puccini and Brahms to remember the Great War

A hundred years after the outbreak of the First World War (1914-2014), the Evangelical Lutheran Church “Christ the Savior” of Torre Annunziata dedicates a concert to commemorate the conflict that forever changed the fate of the world. The event is scheduled for Thursday, May 8, at h. 7 p.m., premises in Street Carminello, in  Torre Annunziata. The program includes music by Giacomo Puccini (1858 – 1924) and Johannes Brahms ( 1833-1897 ). In particular, the Italian composer will be played the elegy for string quartet “Chrysanthemums” and Brahms will be able to listen to the “Clarinet Quintet” in B minor, Op. 115. Onstage, together with Giuseppe Carannante (the clarinet), you performing artists of the “Romantic Quartet” formed by Elena Nunziante (first violin), Isabella Parmiciano (second violin), Tsvetanka Asatryan (viola) and Emanuela Albano (cello). The historical consultant is by prof. Antonio Tommaso Cirillo. Admission is free.
