Fine wine: it will be marked by this claim – that embodies the distillate of a land in which charm, flavor and tradition are inextricably entwined like the vine to the hills – a selection of 38 wine companies in the province of Benevento will be the protagonist, from Sunday 6 to 9 April, the 48th edition of Vinitaly in Verona, the International wine and Spirits of the most prestigious European events industry. To support them in becoming ambassadors of a province, the Sunni, full of excellent food, cultural and landscape, will be the Chamber of Commerce of Benevento and the Special Valisannio.
The companies involved – which represent the best of a manufacturing sector that, extending over most of the hilly province, as well as representing 40% of the wine production of the region can boast one DOCG (denomination of controlled and guaranteed origin ) two DOC ( controlled designation of origin ) and two IGT ( typical geographical indications ) – will be located , each with its own stand, in an exhibition area reserved for them at the pavilion B of the Campania Region. And the location was designed in accordance with the winemakers, in order to give the audience the feeling of walking in a real vineyard and, thanks to specially made panels: so immersed in a unique environment, guests and potential customers – from all over the world – will be able to taste the fruit of the arrogant varieties of Benevento.

“The first fact which makes us extremely happy – says Gennaro Masiello, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Benevento – is the increasing participation by companies , while at a particular time for the industry, where the trend might be to close to hedgehog. Our producers are shown to possess the clarity and foresight that , on the contrary , leads them to react , pushing them to the comparison with the national and international context. A second positive element is the fact that, working together with entrepreneurs, has embarked on a unified effort to improve the image of the collective Sunni. Picture that, in the age of communication, is one of the essential asset for any successful reality. Last but not least, if the province of Benevento has traditionally been defined in the cellar of Campania, in recent years the area has grown not only in quantitative terms but also in qualitative terms, with wine and wine business together, opening a direct relationship with the market. I hope that this stage of Verona may represent a further opportunity for growth for the whole industry”.
For four days, the winemakers of Sannio, therefore, will be the protagonists of the national scene. But not only the 38 companies directly involved, in fact, become bearers of the whole province, with its own history and attractions, typical and unmistakable landscapes, legendary hospitality and culture, a unique opportunity to visibility and promotion for the whole territory.
