Will once again be the Pan – Palazzo delle Arti of Naples, in via dei Mille 60, will host from June 6 to July 19 “Rock!”, the international exhibition on music and its languages, with free admission, conceived and directed by journalists Carmine Aymone and Michelangelo Iossa in collaboration with the City of Naples. A captivating exhibition, now in its fifth edition, which this year will take shape over an area of about 2,000 square meters divided between the second floor, atrium and loft area, with four different areas, but also a wide range of live, workshops, presentations of books, CDs, films, demo/ clinic, thematic meetings and appointments with guests and musicians.
The pride of the event will be the exhibition “Pino! The many colors of Lazzaro Felice”, which aims to celebrate the art and music of Pino Daniele, organized in collaboration with collectors Vincenzo Calenda and Francesco De Martino and artists workshops Ferrigno who have made a life-size sculpture of the Mascalzone Latino. On display, some guitars used by the songwriter, vinyl records, CDs, cassettes, posters and pass concerts, posters, memorabilia, cards, books, photo galleries, newspaper articles, film screenings, guided listening, soundtracks and video-tape tell the story of the man who has rewritten the coordinates of music copyright in Italy and the Mediterranean blues. There is also a “totem” who contains songs of the singer made available by Radio Rai and Rai Production Center of Naples.
That’s not all. Rock!5 also will host the world premiere, “Pink Floyd – Live at Pompeii: the exhibition” 10 unpublished images made at the time by Jacques Boumendil, director of photography of the legendary film of Maben that on June 10, at 17, will be right at Pan with Boumendil for a meeting with the public and the press, and will receive the prize Rock! Legend 2015.
Another gem of the event will be the European premiere of “Animated album covers” by Venezuelan artist Juan Betancourt, who has created exclusively for Rock! three works dedicated to Pino Daniele.
And last but not least, “The sound of music: the history of talking machines and radio” by Raffaele Grieco. One of the most popular sections from the kids and a great little trip in the history of sound reproduction.
