The traditional festival Sunni, now in its 38th edition, takes place in reality, since the eighteenth century when the local Brotherhood she used to celebrate the Feast of Our collecting donations of decorated carts. Offers that given the era, were represented mainly by clusters of grapes. The harvest was then sold and the proceeds used by the brothers. But we come to our own time.
The protagonists of the festival solopachese are without doubt the beautiful floats built by masters “carraioli” Solopaca on Sunday 13 parade in procession to be appreciated and above rated by those present. The amazing thing is that the “subjects” of the carts are all built with … grapes, hand-picked according to size, color and their shades. The wise use of these grains, allows, in fact, to achieve true works of art ready to color the streets of the town of Benevento.
To Solopaca, in short, it is an authentic hymn grape in all its beauty. The same delicate grapes from which then you get that wine capable of very high quality standards. The same people who have earned the designation of origin.
