Ten and eleven nations took the chef competition for the Grand Prix of the International Mediterranean Cuisine, the competition scheduled from 8 to 16 March at the resort Villa dei Cesari in Gragnano, the world capital of quality pasta.
A few steps from Varano hill , the heart of the settlement archeology of Stabiae, chefs from Cuba, Brazil, Tunisia, Morocco, Senegal, Ukraine, Germany, France, Spain and Italy will compete on the subject of the Mediterranean diet, in order to win the judgment of the jury, chaired by Michele Deleo, Michelin-starred chef of the award-winning restaurant “Rossellinis” of Ravello.
Ingredients of the dishes will be the Campanian products : olive oil, pasta , bread, wine , tomatoes, mozzarella, provolone del monaco , artichokes , chestnuts, fish and many other specialties of the region.
Friday, March 14 will host the ceremony, during a gala event that will crown the top three creations of many chefs , and that will enrich the musical contribution of the vocal Musincanto the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, conducted by Giancarlo Amorelli.
A program along nine days of the Grand Prix, which will host many moments open to the public, all with free admission. Every day, from 17 pm, doors open at GustoVillage, where you can visit over 50 booths set up in the park of Villa dei Cesari and taste a variety of typical food products.

Five ” squares ” taste that will welcome visitors with pasta, wine , sweets , fruit and vegetables , dairy products , and of course the pizza , with an area supervised by the teachers of the National Institute of Pizza.
For the entire course of the event, every night, will alternate performances of music and cabaret with a schedule available on the website www.granprixcucina.it and that provides for the opening night , the election of Miss and Mister Grand Prix Kitchen.
