Much more than a simple drink. The coffee in Naples is a real ritual, without which it can not start the day. And sometimes not even finish.

And it is the black gold of Naples that is dedicated on April 8, the day of the Coffee Day: an original initiative promoted by the major cultural associations of the city on the Gulf.
But let’s see what it is. And we start from the location chosen for the event.

Welcome via the Courts , the heart of the historic center of Naples. Here, under the arcades of the historic Palazzo d’ Angiò is located  Portico 340, a cozy folklore and literary cafes that surprises tourists and passers-by with the eloquent sculpture located next to the front door depicting the great Eduardo De Filippo.

Once you cross the threshold of the bar, where is the great theatrical showman to do the honors of the house, you can finally get into the spirit of the Coffee Day tasting the unique and inimitable aroma of true Neapolitan espresso, at a cost of only 50 cents.

The event – tasting , sponsored by the bars of the old town , along BluChiaraluce Association , will continue throughout the day and provides, at 19.00, also the free screening of the film “The Great History of Coffee in Naples”.
In short, samples with the mouth and eyes … with the insignia of the most delicious and succulent beverage.

For those who still had doubts that the city of Partenope is without a doubt the motherland of Arabica, this is the final opportunity to change his mind. All the Portico 340!
