The city of Gulf enchants all to the sound of the seven notes of the author

Music of author  to the event “Nuits d’été à Pausillipe” held in Naples 7 to 29 June next. Where the sea enchants, on the gentle slopes of the Posillipo hill that offers a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Partenope. And yhis is, in fact, an extraordinary location chosen for the international festival of chamber music created by the musician Françoise Vidonne, which aims to promote the architectural heritage of Campania through the spread of magic “repertoire” of the “seven notes”.

After the past years that have seen scenarios excellence as a theater for the musical event, such as the Theatre of the ancient villa of Pausilypon and the extraordinary Villa Doria d’Angri in Posillipo, this time striking the stage will be the Hall of the Angels of the Monumental Complex of ‘Suor Orsola Benincasa University of Naples.

Starring the talented and young Italian and international musicians who will perform in an environment of high artistic value that has already seen , in the past, the involvement of professionals world-class masters such as Aldo Ciccolini (in 2012) and Zhu Xiao Mei  (in 2013).

The festival began as a tribute to the music composed by Gaetano Donizetti during his stay in Naples, reminiscent of the Neapolitan tradition born in the beginning of 600. A tradition that was to move during the summer , the music from the noble palaces of the hill and the sea of Posillipo commonly called the “amusements of Posillipo” , the etymology of the hill itself that indicates precisely , from the greek , the rest from troubles.

Thereby, the rich repertoire Neapolitan baroque, classical and contemporary, compared with the vision of foreign composers of the Grand Tour that the city has inspired the Gulf and hosted over the years.
So it will be a valuable opportunity to explore and learn about the history of the Neapolitan capital and its origins through the vast repertoire melodic who accompanied him in time.
