2737

Back this year, on the occasion of the holiday season, the initiative promoted by the Coordination Scale of Naples with the Department of Environment of the City and Asia (management company of waste collection), to promote pedestrian paths along the stairs and stairways that connect the historic center of Naples to the hills. Christened “You come down the stairs” with an explicit reference to the famous song “You come down from the stars” written on texts by St. Alphonsus Maria de’ Liguori, the event will start on December 8, the day dedicated to the feast of the Immaculate Conception, and will end on January 7, 2015. For a month, then, the more than 200 steps (135 stairs themselves, 69 tiers) of the capital of Campania will be alive with exhibitions, debates, tours, literary walks and shows. An authentic “grand tour up and down” to rediscover the beauty and history of the places of passage that climb along the hills of Naples.
