Paestum, the Mediterranean Exchange of Archaeological Tourism opens the doors

Getting ready to Capaccio-Paestum (Salerno) for the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the XVII edition of Mediterranean Tourism Exchange Archaeological scheduled from Thursday, October 30 to Sunday, November 2nd. This year’s festival boasts significant numbers: 150 exhibitors, 20 countries represented, over 10 thousand visitors expected, 50 conferences, 300 speakers, 250 operators, 100 journalists. In places famous for the impressive archaeological sites of Paestum (from the Temple of Cecere to Christian basilica) will alternate lectures, workshops, meetings and negotiations which will bring the different players in the industry for what it is the only international exhibition of archeology in the world. The event, organized by the Leaders Ltd., is promoted by the Regione CampaniaCity of Capaccio Paestum and Soprintendenza per i Beni Archeologici di Salerno, Avellino, Benevento e Caserta. This edition is held under the patronage of the President of the Republic, under the patronage of Milan Expo 2015, the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and with the support of UNWTO and UNESCO. Just from the fact that recently declared an UNESCO world cultural heritage the Mediterranean Diet, the organization has seen fit to give space and relevance to two iconic products of the Mediterranean diet is that the area hosting the event: Mozzarella di Bufala Campana Dop and Pomodoro San Marzanotomatoes of  Agro Sarnese Nocerino DOP.
