All the magic of the pentagram in the “Friday of author” made in Partenope. Appointment with the charm and magic of classical music in the extraordinary setting of the Basilica of San Giovanni Maggiore, a few steps from Via Mezzocannone, the scene of a rich series of concerts, with entry by donation, which will last until the end of February.
Whoever wants to, can support the initiative (organized by the Municipality of Naples, together with the association Discantus, the Foundation of Engineers of Naples and with the support of the Universal Forum of Cultures Naples) with a donation, thus getting a numbered place for all evening program in the extraordinary church of Old Naples.
For over 42 years the Basilica of San Giovanni Maggiore was closed and its presence is important to fall into oblivion. Then, thanks to the Jubilee for the City ofNaples, organized by Cardinal Sepe and custody of the structure of Engineers Foundation of Naples, the church was reopened to the public and properly redeveloped. Today, the restored Basilica of San Giovanni Maggiore, whose musical direction was entrusted to Maestro Luigi Grima, is a candidate as the true heart of the Historic Centre of Neapolis, the cradle button of cultural and social proposals broader.
