At the Ristorante Garibaldi in Bacoli eating delicious dishes accompanied by a splendid view over the Gulf of Pozzuoli and perhaps a glass of wine has been the norm for four generations. With a constant vocation for haute cuisine, tradition and a warm welcome, it has passed through the war and the economic booms years and seen the town transform from a fishing village to a tourist destination. Nonna Filomena’s recipes have been passed down and the dishes are made from high quality products selected by Giovanni Castiglia early each morning. The menu comprises mainly fish caught the night before and shellfish. Highlights are fish soup, pasta with squid ink, with mussels or with tuna roe. There are side-dishes made from local vegetables and a selection of homemade desserts.
